Havenwood Park’s ecosystems are being threatened by various invasive non-native plants that include Scotch Broom, Himalayan blackberry, Daphne, and Holly.
The following slideshow shows areas in the park where Scotch Broom is invading native wildflower communities.

If Scotch broom is allowed to continue it’s growth into Havenwood Park’s sensitive Garry Oak ecosystems the blooming spring wildflowers we have today will be a thing of the past!
